L'unità consiste di una vasca a temperatura controllata dell'olio con fino a sei laboratori di prova, ciascuno dei quali può essere configurato contemporaneamente sia per il test col metodo VICAT sia per il test col metodo HDT.
I meccanismi del caricamento del peso e il dispositivo di fissaggio della prova sono progettati come singola unità, ciascuno dei quali viene abbassato e sollevato dentro alla vasca dell'olio da un motore elettrico sotto il controllo del software.
Tale sistema meccanico è realizzato in modo da offrire ampie caratteristiche di sicurezza. La vasca d'immersione dell'olio è completamente chiusa nelle posizioni più basse e superiori, mentre la superficie dell'olio si espone soltanto quando il meccanismo è in movimento. Lo strumento di prova è inoltre dotato di serie di un manto di azoto di sicurezza.
Le unità funzionano come unità indipendenti o possono essere controllate dal PC usando il NEXYGEN" software Lloyd per il HDT/VICAT Plus, pacchetto specifico per le analisi dei risultati per tests avanzati.

HDT/Vicat Plus

 

The Davenport HDT/VICATPlus is designed to determine the temperature of deflection of thermoplastic samples in accordance with both national and international standards.
The unit consists of a temperature controlled oil bath, with up to six testing stations, each of which may be configured for either HDT or VICAT test methods. The weight loading mechanism and test fixture mountings are designed as a single unit, which is lowered and raised in to the oil bath by electric motor under software control. The design of this assembly includes extensive safety features. The bath is closed off in the lower and upper positions, the oil surface only being exposed when the assembly is in motion. A nitrogen safety blanket is also fitted as standard. The unit functions as an independent unit, or can be PC controlled using NEXYGEN" software for the HDT/VICATPlus, Lloyd Instruments' advanced test and results analysis package.
