Plastometri - Melt Flow Index

Il Melt Flow Index è definito come il peso di un fuso che scorre attraverso un capillare in 10 minuti, a temperature e pressione prefissate, espresso in grammi/10 min. Il MFI, ovvero il grado di scorrimento di massa del fuso, viene utilizzato come puro valore di confronto per il comportamento allo scorrimento di un fuso, non però per il calcolo.

Il Melt flow index è una prova semplice, universalmente adottata e riconosciuta, utilizzata in produzione e per il Controllo Qualità.

La Davenport offre due modelli che spiccano per ripetibilità e riproducibilità (con una varianza di circa l' 1%). Entrambe i modelli adottano la miglior tecnologia per il controllo della temperatura che, assieme all'impiego di eccellenti materiali costruttivi, assicurano risultati molto precisi motivo di grande fama internazionale per la Davenport.

The MFI-9 is a competitively priced product, renowned for accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility of results. It is ideal for low volume users who require the same quality machine as larger corporations. The MFI-9 is an independent, stand alone system, which contains its own embedded software. It can be set up with up to five standard test set-ups, which can be recalled instantly at the press of a button. All test procedures run sequentially, with the machine providing prompts for the correct action at the right time, using audible signals. All test set-ups and calibration files can be protected by a supervisor, or embedded at our factory during installation, making it a "switch on and go" system. For users requiring a fully automatic MFI system, the MFI-10 is also available.

The MFI-10 is an intelligent, modular system, which offers flexibility of testing and increased automation, especially when used in conjunction with the optional easy to use NEXYGEN data analysis software. The main base unit can be configured for either manual or fully automatic testing. For those who use the same machine for a given test, a standard test set-up may be saved and password protected. Those doing several different tests may save up to 10 set-ups and recall them by name. Operators need not be experienced, the backlit LCD gives written instructions at each step with audible prompts at the correct time and results calculated and displayed at the end of the test. Busy laboratories will save time and improve health and safety by automating the whole process with the addition of the optional displacement transducer and weight loading device.
