Delamination Strength Testing

A climbing drum test is a typical testing method used to determine the de-lamination characteristics of a sample material. This test involves a measurement to determine the strength of a laminate's bond to a substrate material. It is equal to the tensile load applied divided by the sample width multiplied by the sample's thickness. Delamination strength testing is common in the testing of adhesives, including aircraft parts and medical adhesives.

De-laminatin strength testing can be carried out on a range of Lloyd Instruments materials testing machines together with NEXYGENPlus data analysis software when more comprehensive testing results are required.
