Nail Plate Bending Test
Nail plates are tested to determine their static bending strength and rigidity. The bending strength is the load required to produce a permanent deflection. If the material fractures before a permanent deflection, the bending strength is defined as the bending moment at fracture. The ratio of the bending strength to the total deflection produced by the applied load is the rigidity.
